Directions & Parking
We reserve special parking spaces for our guests, but feel free to park anywhere you like, in the front of the church or back. There will be greeters waiting to guide you to the children's area, student area, adult area, and worship center.
What to Wear
At The Heights, you can wear what makes you feel comfortable and feel right at home with our family. The people of The Heights walk thru the doors in all styles of clothes. A few men wear ties, others wear polo shirts or T-shirts, & since this IS West Texas, you'll probably see a few folks wearing boots & jeans. The ladies' fashions are just as varied, with some wearing dresses and others wearing pants.
What About My Kids?
The Heights LOVES children & youth! We offer nursery & toddler care during worship & Bible study times on Sundays & Wednesdays. Sunday mornings, children K-5th grade have Bible study in the KidZone wing, then during the morning worship service they are invited to experience worship kid-style in Children's Church, which also takes place in the KidZone wing. The Youth meet in the Student Center on Sunday mornings and are invited to Youth Bible studies on Wednesday evenings. What's the Worship Service Like?
Our service begins with a time of worship thru music that is a blend of both contemporary and traditional music. Our worship music includes a variety of instruments, from piano to guitar to drums, etc. After a time of music, Pastor James brings the sermon by means of expository preaching, which just means he preaches thru the verses of the Bible to help us understand how the meanings of each verse and book work together to create a unified meaning. The pastor usually preaches for about 30 minutes, and then the preaching is followed by a brief time of prayer and reflection over the message. The worship service generally lasts an hour - hour/15 minutes from beginning to end.
