OUTREACH
The Great Commission is the Heart of Our Service
Outreach stands at the heart of who we are as Baptist Christians. We are united around the mandates of Jesus to go and make disciples of all nations and to care for those in need. At The Heights, we seek to fulfill God's command to reach our world, beginning with our own community & extending beyond the borders of our nation. If you're ready to serve, in a big or small way, then we have a connection for you.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH
The Food Pantry
The Food Pantry provides basic meal staples for those who qualify based on need. After completing some brief paperwork, The Heights will supply recipients with basic food supplies. The Pantry is open 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Thursdays, and the community & church is always welcome to donate.

Blanket Ministry
The blanket ministry offers hand-made blankets to patients in hospitals and to family shelters as a way to provide encouragement. No sewing experience is needed as these are knotted fleece blankets. The Blanket Ministry meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 5:00-6:00 in the Fellowship Center. Come for great fellowship!

Vacation Bible School
Each summer The Heights dedicates one week of VBS to reach the children of our community by providing an exciting Bible School curriculum that engages children with games, life-applicable Bible truths, music, and crafts. It is one of our favorite times of year!

International Missions
Serving abroad not only makes an impact on the people you serve, but also on the hearts of the people serving. The Heights supports mission trips that specialize in strong partnerships with local grassroots ministries. Mission teams come alongside local efforts to support the work ministers do year-round. When people get out of their comfort zones to see and engage others in Christ, they’ll never be the same!

Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child is a ministry of Samaritan's Purse, a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ. Operation Christmas Child invites Christians to send a shoe box of supplies or toys to a child in another country. Every gift-filled shoebox is a powerful tool for evangelism - transforming the lives of children & their families through the good news of Jesus Christ.

Lottie Moon Mission Offering
Lottie Moon – the namesake of Southern Baptists’ international missions offering – has become a legend. But in her time Lottie was anything but an untouchable hero. In fact, she was like today's missionaries. She labored tirelessly so her people group could know Jesus. Each year we participate in the annuals missions campaign, and our giving enables missionaries to be sent to multiply churches among unreached peoples and places for the glory of God.

Annie Armstrong Mission Offering
Every year we join with the North American Missions Board to honor the life and work of Annie Walker Armstrong (1850-1938) when we give to the annual Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American missions. As a tireless servant of God and a contagious advocate and supporter of missions efforts throughout the world, Annie rallied churches to give more, pray more and do more for reaching people for Christ.
