How do we worship?

THE BIG IDEA: Worship is our response to God's awesomeness.

Genesis 1:1

God is the creator of this amazing universe that we live in.  Yet he loved us unconditionally, and He laid down His life for us.

Here at The Heights, we realize we are not perfect. We also know that this world is dying and it can discourage Christians from following the One Trud God who has the answers for our lives in an imperfect world.

Below are 3 ways we can worship as we learn the aim of the Father in our lives.

Identity - Philippians 2:14-15

Who are you in Christ?

Who are you when you're facing pressure from this world?  We are children of God and can learn to trust and depend on the Lord.  The Bible is the only trusted authority of His wisdom and direction.

Purpose - Matthew 28:16-20

What is our purpose?

Christ gave every believer a purpose to make other believers.  Our God-given purpose can be difficult to grasp, especially during trials for a young Christian.  We can struggle to navigate this tough world, but our focus must be to stay Christ-like and Christ-minded.  The Word of God is the authority when seeking the will of God.

Purity - Psalm 119:9

How can we stay pure?

Social Media has become a monster.  There's so much of God's beauty that has been cheapened by overstimulation of the mind.  When a person gets tired, they can fall into weariness, and fighting the enemy is nearly impossible when you are fatigued from consuming the lies of this world.  Scripture reminds us that we are God's workmanship.
